We do all the things design and artwork companies are expected to do: design for print, ads, posters, brochures, leaflets, logos, websites, exhibition and display work. All the usual except, we like to think, we do them with a touch of added flair. But that's a judgement call, a call only you can make. However, if you'd like a reliable, reasonably priced, easy-to-work-with supplier, who'll produce your work on time, on budget, with no hassle, well, come to think of it, that's another call you might care to make. There's no page like a home page
The graphic design and artwork business is odd. Especially these
days. Everyone has a computer, everyone can 'design', everyone
can 'do artwork'. So why are specialists needed? Sometimes, when the phone's quiet, we don't think they are! Speed has to be part of the reason, speed and the experience to handle deadline pressure. Also the software, the tools of the trade, In Design, Quark, Photoshop, Go Live and others, are complex. You have to know your way around them. Ask your Mac art worker for a 'dropped cap intro with a drop shadow over three lines of text' and see how quick you get a result! Then there's the matter of tailoring. The designs we'd present to a new business start up will naturally differ from the work we'd present to an established business, wanting to update their corporate image. There's also the matter of pride. We're proud of our work, but not about where we earn our crust. We'll work in-house, on site, or out of sight, for direct clients, production agencies, print houses - our background is in print and exhibition media. Short term, long term, sickness cover, staff holidays; you name it - Mister Obliging, that's us.
